Australia flexed their bowling muscles and blasted quick knocks on Saturday to seal second place on Pool A table by defeating Scotland by seven wickets at Hobart.
Put into bat, Scotland batsmen wilted under pressure against a menacing Australian bowling unit and were bundled out for 130 runs within 25.4 overs.
Man-of-the-Match Mitchell Starc led the attack as he captured four wickets, while Pat Cummins substantially supported the former by claiming three wickets.
Five of the Scotland's batsmen couldn't even open their accounts before they trudged back to the pavilion for their individual ducks.
Matt Machan was the only batsman to show some spine as he smacked 40 runs off 35 balls before his dismissal, while Calum Macleod (22), Josh Davey (26) and Michael Leask (23*) scored twenties before their respective dismissals .
