George Clooney will be honored with Cecil B. DeMille award at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards in 2015.
The award will be presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, CBS News reported.
Theo Kingma, the association's president, said that the award celebrated the 53-year-old actor's "outstanding contributions both in front of and behind the camera".
Woody Allen won the Cecil B. DeMille award in 2014.
