In Uttarakhand, seven people were killed and two injured in a cloud burst incident, triggered by heavy rains in Markhola village under Pabo block of district Pauri.
All the deceased persons belong to the same family and two dead bodies have been extracted so far.
The district administration along with police and SDRF Jawans, have been pressed into service to carry out the search operation for any remaining survivors.
Meanwhile, the weather department has predicted that heavy showers are likely to occur at isolated places of Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Pauri, Tehri, Haridwar, Rudraprayag, and Chamoli districts.
