Coach Lehmann defends Haddin over 'sledging' Kiwis during WC final

Australia coach Darren Lehmann has come to the defence of Brad Haddin, stating that the team is proud of its aggressive tactic employed during their World Cup win over New Zealand.

Haddin has been slammed for sledging a couple of New Zealand batsmen-notably Martin Guptill and Grant Elliott- while sending them back to the pavilion on Sunday.

The wicket-keeper batsman had claimed that he was determined to 'let everything out' if his side faced Kiwis again as the latter were being so nice to Australia during the group stage tie in Auckland.

In an attempt to defend his player, Lehmann said that they like to play their game, and had played it fair as no one got reported out of the game, maintaining that it was a little bit disappointing, but people are entitled to their opinions, News.com.au reported.

Lehmann insisted that they knew they wanted to be really aggressive against Kiwis.
