Coaches call Proteas A series 'great platform' for development of new cricketing talent

The South Africa A series has reportedly become a platform for coaches and players alike to bid for international recognition and broaden their database.

According to Sport24, the second unofficial Test against India A starting at the Tuks Cricket Oval on Saturday is the final hurdle of a challenging yet invaluable experience for the players and coaches involved.

Stating that they felt that it would be beneficial to have quality coaches assisting him during the SA A tour, SA A coach Vincent Barnes said that the series has given the domestic coaches an opportunity to work against international opposition and has brought about a stronger relationship between them.

 

According to domestic side Chevrolet Knights coach Sarel Cilliers, the experience has given him an idea of what is needed for his players to compete successfully against the world's best, while Cape Cobras coach Paul Adams said that the series is a good platform for creating growth amongst the players and the coaches in the structures.
