The Coast Guard has rescued an injured Philippines national in a critical condition from a ship 10 miles off the coast of Goa.
The Coast Guard undertook the mission on Tuesday after its Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre received a message regarding the injured patient from the LNG vessel Mubaraz on its way to the UAE from Japan.
Coast Guard helicopters airlifted Alberto Sariano and returned to Vasco, where he was handed over to the local authorities for further medical treatment.
