Elisha Mauger, who was recently crowned National Coffee Tasting Champion for Australia, is now all set to head to World of Coffee Championship competition in Nice, France, next week.
The 28-year-old from Blacktown, Sydney, will be demonstrating her speed, skill and accuracy in distinguishing the difference in specialty coffees at the competition against 52 other nations, News.com.au reported.
As part of her training Mauger follows a diet of lettuce, cucumber and peas and nothing else in the week before any competition, so she can tell the difference between different coffee.
She eats lettuce only on the day before and no food at all on competition day.
She will also be fragrance- and toothpaste-free and will have lost as much as 6kg.
