Colin Firth will be lending his voice to Paddington Bear in a new film based on the adventures of the duffle coat-clad character, it has been revealed.
'The King's Speech' star will be joining 'Downtown Abbey's Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters and Nicole Kidman in the movie, the BBC reported.
The Academy Award winner told a UK publication that he would play the marmalade-loving bear with "a slight Peruvian flavour".
The 53-year-old actor said that he will also be lending his facial expressions to the computer-animated bear, so it will have something of him in his DNA.
The film will be made by Harry Potter producer David Heyman and is expected to be released around Christmas 2014.
