Rebel Wilson, who followed an innovative idea of performing her comedy act and stripped at 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, has been slammed by Twitteraties claiming that the comedian mocked Black Lives Matter campaign.

The Australian stand-up comedian dressed like a policewoman during her comedy act at the VMAs and right before calling Nicki Minaj on the stage for honouring her with Best Hip-Hop Video Award, took off her pants and removed the shirt under which the t-shirt read 'F--k Tha Stripper Police'.

After stripping down, the 35-year-old comedian started off saying a lot of people have problems with the police that made the people speculating that she was talking about the controversial killings of black Americans at the hands of US police officers, whereas she continued telling a story about disappointing strippers.

However, Wilson's strip stunt didn't go down well on social media as Americans slammed her for trivialising the deaths of black Americans with Tweets like "Rebel Wilson is trying to make light of police brutality before the hip-hop video", "Someone tell Rebel Wilson we ain't laughing over here. Somehow, I just don't find police brutality funny", "I love Rebel Wilson but the whole poking fun at the disgusting reality of police brutality thing was inappropriate" and many other.
