A new study has revealed that commuting to work affects an individual's well-being.
The Office of National Statistics study, which was a part of the Annual Population Survey, has found that commuting to work makes one "unhappy and anxious", the Independent reported.
The study conducted on 60,000 people has revealed that commuters travelling between 60 and 90 minutes a day "have lower life satisfaction, a lower sense that their daily activities are worthwhile, lower levels of happiness and higher anxiety on average than non-commuters".
According to the study, each additional minute spent travelling on bus or train makes people feel slightly worse, up until the three-hour mark, when the negative effects drop off.
