'Concerned' US helping Pak's capacity to fight terrorism

The United States has expressed grave concern over the security situation in Pakistan.

The US said it was in talks with Islamabad, an important ally, to build the country's capacity to fight the growing terrorist threat.

According to the Nation, State Department deputy spokesperson Marie Harf said the US was concerned about the security situation in Pakistan.

He added that the Pakistani Government was also concerned about it, because its citizens, have been affected by it more than anyone else.

She added that the US was constantly in dialogue with the Pakistani Government on counterterrorism efforts and building their capacity to fight this threat, the report added.
