The 2015 Tripura Conclave, which is happening for the second time, concluded at the Rabindra centenary hall here.

State Governor Tathagata Roy, who inaugurated the conclave, said the state had potential human resources to make it an IT hub, but added that the building of infrastructure was necessary.

This year's theme is 'a visionary dialogue on roadmap for Tripura IT industry following its emergence as India's third IT gateway'

The conclave aimed at how IT can help Tripura in attracting investment and solving it employment problem as the state is going to get connected with Bangladesh through submarine cable.

Experts expressed that with the commissioning of the country's third International Internet Gateway (IIG) after Chennai and Mumbai, Tripura stands close to be an IT hub since the first pre-condition of any IT hub is the high-speed internet connectivity which Tripura is going to get soon.
