The social media started buzzing with condolence messages after a vile rumour about legendary actor Sylvester Stallone's death went viral.
Spam posts also had a story alleging the 70-year-old Rocky star died of a pill overdose, reports E!Online.
Though the 'Creed' star has not responded to the cruel hoax, which was supported by false reports showing his corpse at his Los Angeles mansion.
"Someone confirm or deny if Sylvester Stallone is dead. I refuse to believe what I saw," a fan tweeted.
Another one wrote, "sly stallone dead? it true? #RIP."
However, several Stallone's friends later shunned the hoax,
"Sylvester Stallone is not dead it is a Hoax. Kenneth talked to him yesterday and he is very much alive and well," said his actress pal Carmela Chiaramonte.
