The entire country is expressing grief over the demise of veteran actor Kader Khan. Condolences poured in from all quarters for the actor, who passed away on Tuesday due to prolonged illness.
Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Vicky Kaushal, Arjun Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Manoj Bajpayee, Tusshar Kapoor, Madhur Bhandarkar and Anees Bazmee, among many others from the Bollywood industry remembered the actor.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Amitabh Bachchan expressed grief and wrote, "Kadar Khan passes away .. sad depressing news .. my prayers and condolences .. a brilliant stage artist a most compassionate and accomplished talent on film .. a writer of eminence ; in most of my very successful films .. a delightful company .. and a mathematician."
Big B has worked with the actor in blockbuster films like 'Do Aur Do Paanch', 'Muqaddar Ka Sikandar', 'Mr. Natwarlal', 'Suhaag', 'Coolie' and 'Shahenshah'.
Akshay Kumar also remembered the celebrated actor and wrote, "Saddened to learn about the demise of #KaderKhan Saab, had the good fortune of working with him in quite a few films...a fine actor and an even better comedian. My thoughts and prayers with his family."
Akshay has worked with the later actor in movies including 'Mr & Mrs Khiladi', 'Mujhse Shaadhi Karogi', 'Main Khiladi Tu Anari', among several others.

Anupam too posted a tribute for the actor-screenwriter on his Twitter handle and wrote, "#KaderKhan Saab was one of the finest actors of our country. It was a joy and a learning experience to be on the sets with him. His improvisational skills were phenomenal. His humour was eternal and original. He was a wonderful writer. We will miss him & his brilliance," he also attached a video message along with his post.
Vicky also extended his condolences with a sweet message for the late actor. "If there's 1 film I have seen the most no. of times its 'Baap numbari Beta dus numbari'. Bachpan mein iss film ki vhs lagakar hamesha dekhta. #KadarKhanSaab has been a delightful part of my childhood. His contribution to hindi cinema will always be remembered. May his soul RIP."
Actor-turned-politician Smriti Irani too offered her condolences, "If you were a late 80s-90s kid who watched Hindi films, chances are you encountered the magic of Kader Khan. Never had the privilege of meeting him but if I ever had I would say 'thank you for the laughter, thank you for your craft' #RIPKaderKhan."
Apart from Smriti Irani, President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Randeep Singh Surjewala also expressed grief over the actor's demise.
The veteran actor passed away on Tuesday at the age of 81, due to prolonged illness.
According to various media reports, Khan was admitted to a hospital overseas, after complaining of breathlessness. He was put on a BiPAP ventilator due to the same issue.
Born in Kabul, Afghanistan on October 22, Kader Khan was known for his impeccable comic timing, and his nonpareil work as an actor and a writer in several films.
He has been part of numerous blockbusters including 'Bol Radha Bol', 'Khoon Bhari Maang', 'Biwi Ho To Aisi', 'Main Khiladi Tu Anari', 'Judwaa', 'Dulhe Raja' and 'Haseena Maan Jayegi'.
He was last seen in 2015 in 'Ho Gaya Deemag Ka Dahi'.
