Australian tennis ace Bernard Tomic is reportedly confident of winning against world number one Rafael Nadal in their first-round Australian Open blockbuster at Melbourne Park.

No time to mope after copping a 6-3 6-1 hiding from Juan Martin del Potro in the Sydney International final, Tomic has just three days to pick himself up for the world No. 1 at Melbourne Park

According to News.com.au, although Tomic admitted that he would need to be at the very top of his game to challenge the 13-times Grand Slam champion on Tuesday, however, he said that he would prepare to the best of his efforts as he has presented with the opportunity to play a legend and one of the best players of this era.

Stating that Nadal is one of the most difficult players to play, Tomic however, said that he is going to 'bring it' to the Spaniard by drawing the experience of playing him in the third round at the Open as an 18-year-old in 2011, adding that he has nothing to lose even though the odds are not in his favour.
