Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Majid Memon on Sunday alleged that the Congress' arrogance was responsible for split in the alliance between both parties before the Maharashtra Assembly polls.
"Let Congress do what they want to do, their arrogance is the reason our alliance broke. BJP is way ahead of all parties in Maharashtra. Also, our decision to support them externally is in favour of the people of Maharashtra," said Memon.
Earlier today, the Congress said the NCP's decision to offer outside support to the BJP to form government in Maharashtra was 'dirty politics'.
The BJP, which is heading to emerge as the single largest party in Maharashtra, has so far kept both the NCP and Shiv Sena guessing on whether it would enter into any alliance and made it clear that its Parliamentary Board will take a final call on the issue.
The BJP and Shiv Sena had parted ways ahead of the assembly polls over seat sharing issue.
