The Congress today sought action from the BJP-led NDA government in fulfilling its poll promises, reminding the government about its responsibilities, and asked it to stop Congress bashing.

Congress leader Ajay Maken, while responding to Prime Minister's speech in the BJP National Council meet said, "In the meeting of BJP, the things they were saying its seemed that they were so obsessed with Congress that they forgot that now they are not in opposition but in ruling. They are not able to make their mindset Congress free."

"Shocking thing is that the resolutions with which they started that they have not said anything about their agendas but about Congress. So, they should rather understand that now people want they should get country rid of problems. They should work on what they have promised to get country free of inflation and other problems. And now they should concentrate on that," he added.

Another Congress leader Rashid Alvi said, "We are not asking for any accounts. People of country are asking for accounts. You said that you will get this country rid of problems. But nothing is happening now."

"If Prime Minister will tell his workers strictly to take everything in order then things will be in control. These riots will never happen in country. The vision of BJP people have changed but people of country are having the same vision. People were expecting that inflation will come to end. But in the time of NDA prices have increased more," he added.

Talking about the rapid pace of change since the NDA government took over, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the BJP National Council meet has said that he was surprised that those who did nothing for the past 60 years are asking for his government's report after being in power for just 60 days.

But he reiterated that after the experience of 60 days, he was confident that his government was headed in the right direction.
