Congress leader JP Aggarwal today attacked the BJP by stating that Congress was the first party to raise the issue of power cuts in Delhi.

He told ANI, "Since entering into power, BJP kept celebrating for 15 days and only after this they woke up and blamed Congress for everything."

Describing the blame-game as "no solution," Aggarwal added, "Despite being in Centre, they have no idea about what's happening in the capital highlights their work ethic. After them Aam Aadmi Party formed the government in Delhi but ruined everything."

Frequent power cuts and low water supply have left citizens of the capital reeling under loads of problems this summer.

Earlier today, Congress leaders Arvinder Singh Lovely, Dr. Naresh Kumar and Sajjan Kumar, who had been leading a vociferous protest against the water and power crisis in Delhi, were released after being detained for an hour by the Delhi police in Nangloi.
