The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday said that the Congress party is bereft of an agenda that concerns the people of the country, claiming that the grand old party only believes in addressing five press conferences a day.
"The Congress is completely desperate. It has no agenda that concerns the people of the country. It has reduced itself to addressing five conferences a day and it believes that this is real politics," BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao told ANI.
"The real politics is about touching the hearts and minds of the people, filling the stomachs of the people, addressing the concerns of the people and not giving statements from a press conference table. They are failing in their duty even as an opposition party by not raising issues of national importance," he added.
The Congress has been mounting pressure on the BJP to sack Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje from her post after revelations emerged of her helping former IPL chairman Lalit Modi in procuring his travel papers from UK.
