West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress chief, Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday charged the Congress and Communist Party of India (Marxist)leaders of conniving together in making a list of officials who they want to be transferred in the state.
"It may be unfortunate but it is true that some Congress and CPI-M leaders have joined hands and making a list in Ahmed Patel's house in Delhi as to where SP, BDO (Block- Development- Officer) ,DM (District Magistrate) will be changed. I must tell them that it is our people who will come. None from Delhi will come. Police do not do any rigging. Why they have so much mistrust on everyone. Whosoever comes they have no trust in that person," Mamata Banerjee said at a rally in West Midnapore.
The TMC supremo also gave indication of the developmental works initiated by her government in the district.
"In Midnapore thousands of crores worth industrial parks are getting constructed. Six big hospitals are coming up here. Nine government colleges are getting constructed. We have done a lot of work and we will do more in the future," Mamata Banerjee added.
Mamata said that Bengal can never be dictated by Delhi, "Remember that we will not accept arrogance or any ill-treatment of Delhi; this is a Bengal which belongs to Kazi Nazrul Islam, Rabindranath Tagore and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose",she said.
