Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Tuesday dubbed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's demand to turn over the control of Delhi Police to him as 'inappropriate'.

"In any country the national capital's police is always under the Central Government. So Kejriwal's request for the Delhi Police to be under him is inappropriate," he told the media here.

Earlier today, Kejriwal had urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi through an open letter published in major newspapers to either spare some time for law and order in the national capital, or turn over the control of Delhi Police to him.
