Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Shahnawaz Hussain on Saturday stated that the Congress has already accepted defeat and none can stop the BJP from coming to power.
He was responding to Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan's remark that the Congress is in a position to consider forming a government at the Centre with the help of the Third Front.
"Congress has already accepted defeat, their workers morale is at its low. Not even renowned doctor can cure a patient who has made up its mind to die; in the same way the Congress has is not inclined any more to govern the country. Therefore the people wants an NDA government and they have already made up its mind, nothing can stop the BJP from coming to power," Hussain said.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on Friday, said that the chances of Narendra Modi becoming the Prime Minister were slim, and the Congress could form the next government in alliance with "the Third Front".
"I don't see any great possibility of Narendra Modi becoming the Prime Minister. Even if he gets more seats than us, he would not get support of the regional parties," Chavan said at a press conference.
