Highlighting the rising prices of onion, the Congress Party on Friday sarcastically said that this was the 'ache din', which was promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi before the Lok Sabha elections.
"The prices of onion are going high every day and this seems the 'ache din' which the Modi Government had promised to the people of this country," Congress leader Shobha Oza told ANI.
"The BJP governments are not strict with the hoarders and as a result the prices of essential commodities increase," she added.
Onion prices crossed the Rs. 70 per kg mark at many places on Thursday with most people complaining that the government was not doing enough to contain the price rise.
