Congress launches protests against fuel price hike

Pushing their bikes towards Jantar Mantar, National Students' Union of India (NSUI) workers on Friday

staged a protest against the fuel price hike.

Meanwhile, Youth Congress in Patna workers also staged a protest against the fuel price hike and burnt the effigy of Prime Minister

Narendra Modi.

The agitators shouted slogans denouncing the Central government and also demanded that the price hike be withdrawn.

"We are protesting because government has increased price on petrol and diesel. If they do not slash down the price, then we will

continue our protest," said a protestors.

The price of petrol and diesel has been upped by Rs 3.96 per litre and Rs 2.37 per litre respectively.
