Congress leader Pramod Tiwari on Monday reiterated that the BJP-led NDA Government should sack External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje over the controversy surrounding former IPL boss Lalit Modi.
"We would expect the Central Government or BJP to take action against Sushma Swaraj, Vasundhra ji..This is a clear evidence of corruption. The BJP should take action against them and ask for their resignations," Tiwari told ANI here.
"Citizens of the country expect to remove these corrupt people or ministers. So, we would pressurize on the resignations of Sushma ji and Vasundhara ji," he added.
Tiwari said that they would also put pressure on the government during the Monsoon Session of Parliament to ask for the resignation of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan till the probe in the Vyapam scam is not complete.
"We will say that it (Vyapam Scam) took place during the tenure of Shivraj Singh Chouhan, so he should step down till the time investigation is going on," he added
The Monsoon Session of Parliament is going to be a stormy affair with the opposition all set to target the government on the Lalit Modi controversy and the Vyapam scam among other major issues.
