Accusing the Congress Party of disrupting Parliament, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Friday said the former needed to introspect whether they want to be a part of nation's development or not.

"Congress can say that we have declared, the Parliament (session) has been washed out and they can claim victory, but the nation has lost out....Congress needs to introspect whether they want to a part of nation's development or not....We are willing to walk an extra mile to meet the demands of the opposition so that the Parliament can run in a bipartisan manner," Naidu told media persons here.

"We are open to meeting with opposition, I asked for all party meet in Lok Sabha and Naqvi ji asked in Rajya Sabha, but Congress asked to postpone," he added.

Naidu further said that there have been no scams and scandals since Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA Government came to power last year.

"There have been no scams and scandals in last 14 months. I can proudly say this. There has been no politics of vendetta," he said.
