"I understand all the people will support Congress. Ours is the only party that keeps the nation united and leads it towards development," said Sibal.
"Our intentions are very clear. We do not give hate speeches or abuse other leaders. We are normal human beings. They (BJP) go on saying 'har-har Modi'; we never do any such thing. In the end, everyone will support our party," he said.
Earlier in the day, Syed Ahmed Bukhari announced his support for the Congress. Imam said he is supporting Congress on condition that they will fulfill promises made to the Muslim community.
