The Congress Party on Saturday sought to remind the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) that the Lokayukta chair has been empty for the past one year and 120 days since the former first rose to power in Delhi.
"The Lokayukta chair is vacant for more than one year in Delhi, it has been more than 120 days since the AAP came to power," senior Congress leader Ajay Maken told ANI.
The Congress Party had on Wednesday issued an ultimatum to the AAP to appoint a Lokayukta within two weeks.
The party said the appointment of a Lokayukta will help take action against 'fake' ministers.
The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) had also staged a protest over the delay in the appointment of the Lokayukta.
