Commenting on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Vinod Kumar Binny's recent allegations on his own party, Congress leader J.P Agarwal on Thursday said that the AAP should step down and resign.

"I have said this earlier too that it is easy to accuse others. They are not working on any of the issues they raised before elections, and the truth has been exposed now," said Agarwal.

"Binny has put serious accusations on them, and said that they are misleading the people of Delhi by making false promises. I don't think they have a right to stay now, and they should resign and go back home. They can never fulfill promises they have made, this party is completely based on lies," he said.

Communist Party of India (CPI) leader Atul Anjan said that AAP needed to understand the questions raised by their own party members.

"This party came into power with public's support, and people have high hopes from them. I think there is a need to understand the questions raised by their own party members," said Anjan.

"It is for Mr. Kejriwal, and his allies to decide that these rising questions should be answered or not. It is the responsibility of the people to evaluate whether the promises made by any government have been fulfilled or not," he said.

Disgruntled Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Vinod Binny on Thursday had described Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal as an autocrat, and all those luminaries from various sections of society joining the party as opportunists.

The 39-year-old has accused his party for "straying" from AAP's core principles. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has dismissed it saying he was sulking for not getting the chance to contest.

Addressing a news conference here a day after he was refused a ticket to contest this year's general elections by the AAP leadership, Binny also called former IBN7 managing editor Ashutosh an opportunist.
