The Congress Party on Tuesday condemned Uttar Pradesh Minority Welfare and Urban Development Minister Azam Khan's remark that he would take the Dadri lynching incident to the United Nations, saying that internal matters should never be taken out of the Indian jurisdiction.

"Our stand is very clear that internal matters should be discussed according to the law of the land," Congress leader Pramod Tiwari told ANI.

Congress leader P.L. Punia on his part said that the Dadri lynching incident is extremely unfortunate and added that the government should not politicise it.

"I hope the leaders, who are politicising the matter, should not aggravate the environment. It is clear that the BJP as a party is encouraging polarization and it seems that Azam Khan is helping them," he added.

Azam Khan had yesterday said that he would take the issue of rampant communal violence in India to the United Nations and also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stop those who are spreading violence and communalism across the country.
