Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government, which had promised a selfless service after coming to power, has not done anything selfless and also called Modi a 'selfie PM'.

"Mr. Modi had promised a selfless government one year what we see is not selfless government but a 'Selfie PM'. A year ago Mr. Modi had promised to 'turn around' the Indian economy, and a year later we don't have a turnaround but instead a 'U-turn'," said Ramesh.

Meanwhile another Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the government had also promised to address farmer issues but never acted on the same.

"They have given slogans such as 'BJP ka kehna saaf har kisaan ka karza maaf' but when it comes to act on it, the Home Minister says that it's not possible," he said.
