Commenting on the statement given by Finance Minster P. Chidambaram, that not all the members of the Congress were for supporting the AAP, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kirti Azad said that the Congress was only trying to play safe.

"Mr. P Chidambaram and his colleagues had first decided that supporting AAP to try, and stop the popularity of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, but unfortunately it did not go through properly," said Azad.

"Now as it is they are very well known for their corruption, and mishandling of the constitution in India. They are seeing that AAP is doing exactly the same, so now in an embarrassing position they are giving statements like this," he added.
