Nepal Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has said that the drafting process of the Constitution is in the final stage and would be promulgated very soon.

Inaugurating the Chatara bridge over Saptakoshi River on Monday, Prime Minister Koirala said that no force can hinder the statute which is about to conclude.

According to the Himalayan Times, Koirala claimed that the incumbent government in his premiership would issue the statute after having incorporated feedback from people of all walks of life.

He also pledged that the Constitution would ascertain the rights of women, indigenous nationalities, Dalits and Muslims among other communities.

He further announced that he would give up the post of the Prime Minister with the establishment of peace and promulgation of the new constitution in the country.

Earlier in June, Nepal's major political parties negotiated a historic agreement on the long-stalled Constitution drafting process.

The agreement outlined a 16-point framework for resolving some of Nepal's hotly contested issues, for instance, the country's federal structure.
