England captain Alastair Cook has hit back at David Warner's claim that his side fears Australia and backed Stuart Broad to storm the Gabba Fortress with his fast-bowling bully.
According to News.com.au, Warner yesterday fired an opening salvo at the tourists, suggesting England were fearful of an Australian side that has not lost a Test match in Brisbane since the mighty West Indies prevailed in 1988.
Ahead of the first Test starting tomorrow, Cook scoffed at Warner's critique, saying the English are steeled mentally by their Ashes series triumph in Australia in 2010-11.
Cook said that his side does not fear anyone and it is also quite clear to see in how they go about their business.
