England captain Alastair Cook has said that he wants to give a 'grand welcome' to new head coach Trevor Bayliss, with a series win over New Zealand.

Jubilant with a 124-run victory at Lord's, Cook said his side must back up their performance to continue the 'feel-good factor'.

The BBC quoted Cook, as saying ahead of the Headingly Test, which begins from today, that he was delighted with the victory at Lord's, and adding that it was a very good week for everyone in the team.

Former Sri Lankan coach Bayliss, who led the team to the 2011 World Cup finals, would take charge of the English side before the start of the Ashes series.

Cook said that it was a huge role to coach England, and described Bayliss as being a success in the sport the world over. He also said that the latters coaching experience would surely benefit the team.
