New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson has admitted that his recent Indian Premier League (IPL) performance has come at the 'perfect time' for him and his team Mumbai Indians.
Anderson's unbeaten 95 off 44 balls for Mumbai helped secure a playoff spot against Chennai Super Kings and showed his sharp sense of timing, after his world record ODI century against West Indies on New Year's Day rocketed his name into IPL calculations.
According to Stuff.co.nz, after scoring 150 runs (highest score 39) from his previous nine innings in a much-hyped debut season, Anderson, who finally justified his price tag of 866,000 dollars, said that given he thought he would be sent back after a lusterless stint, the match was the perfect timing, both for him and his IPL team.
Mumbai required 190 off 14.3 overs against Shane Watson's Rajasthan Royals to pip them on net run rate, and they got there with help from Anderson's six booming sixes after he strode out at 19-1, the report added.
