The wife of Formula One legend Michael Schumacher had reportedly spent her 45th birthday with a vigil round her husband's bed at Grenoble's University Hospital in France with doctors day-by-day fearing the worst.

With the hope of a miracle becoming smaller and smaller, medical experts believe the seven-time world champion, who is in an induced coma since his ski accident late December, will never fully recover.

According to the Daily Star, Corinna Schumacher's 45th birthday on Sunday marked her husband's 64th day in a coma with a former F1 medical officer saying that she will be wishing for a miraculous recovery for the former racer on her birthday as it is emerging ever more clearly that he will not completely recover from his traumatic brain injury.

The former Ferrari driver hit his head on a rock at the French Alps consequently suffering damage to the brain with doctors saying his helmet was the only thing that saved him.
