British world marathon record holder Paula Radcliffe has called for countries to be punished when athletes test positive for doping.
Radcliffe made the comments after American and Jamaican sprinters Tyson Gay and Asafa Powell were branded drug cheats.
According to the Sun, Radcliffe said that tougher sanctions were needed and to start sanctioning countries above a certain level of positives.
She said that athletes were ultimately responsible for what they put in their bodies.
Jamaican sprint champion Usain Bolt has not been tested positive for doping, but if countries did face sanctions he could still be punished.
