A couple who supports German football club Cologne have reportedly named their baby after Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski in an attempt to lure the German forward back to the club.
Cologne fans still reportedly love Podolski, who left the German club for Arsenal two years ago, and they want him back after the club has been promoted back to the Bundesliga.
According to Metro.co.uk, the couple have shown their love for the striker after naming their child, who has been born this week, Lukas Poldi and are hoping that their gesture will tempt Podolski into heading back to Cologne when the summer transfer window opens.
Podolski posted an image of the couple and the child on his Facebook page on Thursday and captioned it as 'great story', which hints that the couple's stunt might be working on the striker, the report added.
