Communist Party leader Atul Anjan on Tuesday scoffed at Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat's plea to cadres to stay away from personality driven campaigns, in an apparent reference to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

"All this Modi wave must be trashed. It is actually the RSS, which is calling the shots from behind. That RSS chief (Bhagwat), is slowly distancing himself from Modi, and has asked his cadres not to chant 'Namo Namo' in favour of Modi. It is only to counter any threats which might derail the chances of Modi holding the top job in the country. His (Bhagwat) act was that of a cat, which after eating hundred rats, goes on a pilgrimage". CPI leader said. (ANI)

In a strong message to RSS cadres, its chief, Mohan Bhagwat, has said the organisation should not cross its "maryada" (limits) while working for the BJP.
