At least two Pakistani soldiers were killed and four others injured in a cross-border attack by terrorist from Afghanistan near the Pak-Afghan border in Bajaur Agency on Monday.
"Terrorists from the Afghanistan side attempted an attack on Pakistani posts along the Pak-Afghan border in Bajaur Agency. The attempt was effectively responded killing 8-10 fleeing terrorists while many seen running back were injured," Dawn quoted media wing of the Pakistan Armed Forces Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) as saying in a statement.
The killed soldiers were identified as Captain Junaid Hafeez and Sepoy Raham.
At least eight terrorists were killed in the attack in retaliatory fire from the Army, Geo News reported.
The incident comes days after a Pakistani soldier was killed in a similar attack on a check post at the border in Rajgal Valley.
Pakistan and Afghanistan have been accusing each other of harbouring terrorists and both these countries have also denied such accusations.
