CRPF head constable dies of malaria in Chhattisgarh

A jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force's (CRPF) elite CoBRA unit died of malaria in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district.

CRPF head constable Brahmanand of 206th battalion CoBRA, deployed in Chintagufa, died of Malaria attack on Sunday.

Brahmanand's condition became serious in the morning, after which he was admitted to the nearby hospital, where he took his last breath.

The constable hailed from Uttar Pradesh.

The mosquito-borne infectious disease has been common in Bastar after rains.
