The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday expressed concern over the regularity with which the crude bombs are being recovered in West Bengal and added that this is a matter of serious security not only for the state but also the nation.

"The regularity with which these kinds of crude bombs are being recovered in West Bengal, it's pointing out that there seems to be a very strong network there," BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli told ANI here.

"And this is a matter of serious security not only for the state but also the nation. And without any politics in this, all of it has to be unearthed and action has to be taken," he added.

The West Bengal Police had earlier last night seized 200 crude bombs from Belsore village in Burdwan district.

Besides recovering the bombs, the state police also seized as many as two pipe-guns and a huge cache of arms and ammunition from a hideout in the village.

The police have arrested two people so far in connection with this case and are proving whether the incident has any links to the blast that took place on October 2 last year in Khagragarh in Burdwan district.
