Crystal Palace has stunned top-ranked Everton with a 3-2 away win on Tuesday in the English Premier League at the Goodison Park, denting the visitors' hopes of Champions League football next season.
Everton had slipped into fifth place following Arsenal's 3-1 win over West Ham United on Tuesday but could leapfrog Arsene Wenger's side with victory over the newly-promoted side.
According to Sport24, the visitors took the lead in the 23rd minute when Jamie Puncheon scored his fourth goal in his last three outings and doubled their lead shortly after the interval with defender Scott Dann nodding home in the 49th.
Although Everton reduced the deficit with substitute Steven Naismith's goal in the 61st, Palace restored their two-goal advantage when striker Cameron Jerome struck in the 73rd and held on despite Kevin Mirallas finding the net late on, the report added.
