Cricket South Africa (CSA) has congratulated the Faf du Plessis-led side after they claimed a nine wicket-win in the second T20 to clinch the two-match series 2-0 against England.
Earlier, opener AB de Villiers smashed 71 off just 29 balls while Hashim Amla contributed a brilliant unbeaten knock of 69 off 38 balls as the hosts chased down the target of 172 runs to seal the series at the Wanderers.
Lavishing praise on the side, CSA Chief Executive, Haroon Lorgat said that it was a privilege to watch a top-class all-round performance from the team, insisting that they deserve to claim a victory, Sport24 reported.
Lorgat, however, praised the England team for playing excellent cricket throughout the tour and said they are looking forward to meet them again in the upcoming ICC World Twenty20.
The T20 pinnacle event is slated to be held from March 8 in India, with the Proteas playing their opening match against England on March 18.
