The Cricket South Africa (CSA) coaching conference has reportedly been concluded with an overview of the national team vision and strategy for the next few years.
According to Sport24, the presentation, led by head coach Russell Domingo, was an opportunity to create synergy and a collective vision between the national set-up and the lower structures.
Explaining the importance of information sharing, Domingo said that the coaches attending the workshop are big role players for South African cricket as they develop the players who will one day represent the country.
According to Domingo, if domestic coaches in South Africa have a better understanding of the expectations and requirements at national level, it can bode well for the quality of the upcoming players.
The report further said that assistant coach Adrian Birrell addressed the delegates on the importance of leadership and the essential requirements of creating an enabling environment, which was followed by a talk from bowling coach Allan Donald, on harnessing skilled and equipped fast bowlers for the Test arena.
