Chennai Super Kings restricted the heavily loaded batting line up of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to a meagre 139 runs in the second qualifier of the eighth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) played in Ranchi.
Put into bat, RCB didn't have a great start as they lost Virat Kohli with only 23 runs on the board.
The team had not even recovered from the loss of the skipper when in-form bowler Ashish Nehra gave them another huge blow, picking the dangerous AB de Villiers in the same over, reducing the score to 25-2.
The star performer of last match, Mandeep Singh, could not stay long this time and was caught by Mike Hussey after scoring just one run.
Chris Gayle and Dinesh Karthik did stage a recovery, but the duo got out just when they needed to attack.
