Denmark's Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt has defended her infamous 'selfie' with President Barack Obama and UK PM David Cameron at Nelson Mandela's memorial service, claiming that the snap was just a "bit of fun".
Thorning-Shmidt told the Danish daily Berlingske that the picture had not been inappropriate as it was basically a festive event that also celebrated a man who has lived for 95 years and achieved so much in his life, the Independent reports.
The three leaders have been criticized worldwide for posing for a click at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg this week, while people gathered to mourn the anti-apartheid hero.
