West Indies batsman Darren Bravo has pulled out of the squad for next month's World Twenty20 in order to concentrate on the longer forms of the game.

The 27-year-old became the third West Indian after Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard to pull out of the T20 format's pinnacle event, which starts on March 8 in India.

While asserting that he has a big part in the resurgence of West Indies cricket in the longer formats of the game, Bravo said that he would instead play in their regional first-class tournament so as to improve his skills and become a better batsman, Sport24 reported.

The West Indies Cricket Board has not announced a replacement for Bravo yet while Ashley Nurse and Carlos Brathwaite will replace Narine and Pollard in the T20 squad.

Meanwhile, the WICB confirmed that 12 of the original 15 picked by them for the tournament have signed the required contracts.
