A poll released recently has shown that Darth Vader is currently polling at a higher favorability rating than any of the potential candidates for the 2016 presidential election.

FiveThirtyEight released the results of a poll of Americans' opinions on the "Star Wars" universe, the Washington Post reported.

Jar Jar Binks, the near universally-despised character from Episodes I, II, and III, with a net favorability of -8, has a higher favorability rating than many high-profile members of Congress as well as "Congress" as a whole, which currently enjoys a net favorability rating of -65.

Hillary Clinton currently has the highest net favorability of any 2016 White House contenders. But to put her 19 percent favorable rating in context, she's tied with Boba Fett, the bounty hunter who froze Harrison Ford in carbonite.

Meanwhile President Obama is polling just two favorability points below Emperor Palpatine, Lord of the Sith.
